LA 2028 Olympics Logo Redesign

The current LA 2028 logo lacks visual intrigue and cohesion.

Current Logo:
- celebrates isolated individualism
- is “built for the digital age”

My Redesign:
- emphasizes unity
- emphasizes the history & heritage of LA

In an era obsessed with progress and the future, my logo emphasizes that our history is something we must know and hold onto, it gives us power & character as a city and community.

Process + Inspiration

Inspired by the bright, bold and sunny personalities that make up LA, the color scheme also is a nod to the 1980s, when the last LA Olympics took place.

Olympic rings served as inspiration for the form of my logo design.

The best Olympic logos incorporate the iconic six rings into their design. I prioritized incorporating the Olympic rings in my logo redesign.

Mexico 1968 Olympics Logo Design by Pedro Ramirez Vazquez, Eduardo Terrazas and Lance Wyman. A perfect example of incorporating the Olympic rings into a logo design.
